Back in May 2018, I made the best
decision I have ever made. I attended Dom Hodgson’s Poodle to Pitbull Bootcamp.
I hadn’t started my dog business then but wanted to come to meet the man
himself and all these amazing pet business owners that I was so awestruck by
(oh and also to give me the kick up the arse that I needed to start the damn
thing!).

Well I never thought it would have
such an impact on me as it did. Throughout the entire weekend with
presentations from Dom, Vicky Fraser & Alex Wardle; my faith in starting a
business grew. But I was not just going to start any ole cheap rates, dawdle
round the park kind of dog walking business. Oh nooooo! I was going to begin a
business unlike any other in Shropshire; a premier dog adventure walks and
running business.

From the bootcamp I came to realise
my own self-worth and to believe in myself and what I would be offering. Dom
and the gang gave me the confidence to have premium prices and to understand
the importance of onboarding your potentials, email/video marketing (by
storytelling), being specialised, inaccessible and the expert.

I honestly cannot thank Dom and the
team (including everyone who attended the bootcamp) enough for the
self-confidence you gave to me that hot weekend in May. My business ‘Dog Jogs
& Adventures’ is now booming and I am already thinking about quitting my
other part-time job. So if you’re thinking of attending Dom’s IMPACT bootcamp
in April then do it. You won’t regret it for a second.

Being part of Diamond has been the best decision I’ve made and it was,
at the time, a very difficult decision.  I actually found it incredibly
stressful – I wanted it but wasn’t sure if I was ready for it both in my
business or financially.  Well HELLO!!  I cannot quite believe how
much I’ve got done in such a short space of time – the extra support is so
valuable and worth every penny.  I know exactly what I’m doing and even
better I now know how I’m going to do it.

Thank you so much for everything so far – I cannot express in words how
much you’ve helped me.  And all the PBIC’ers.  I’m so much more
focused and the shit is getting real and finally getting done!

I wasn't sure whether or not to go to
the bootcamp. Not because I wasn't convinced it'd be amazing, but because I'd
just spent a small fortune re-branding and was concerned it was going to be to
much of a strain on my finances.

Then I had a moment of total clarity - I couldn't afford NOT to go!

I'd been through Dom's '33 ideas', attended a couple of his seminars and
am part of the Inner Circle. I have implemented his advice previously and it
always works - ALWAYS! So why was I even considering missing this opportunity??
It was nuts! So I booked my place with minutes to spare and am so glad I did!

The bootcamp was amazing. Not just the content, Dom himself and his
fabulous guest speakers - but just being surrounded by so many inspirational,
motivated and brilliant people in the pet business was priceless!

I now have a clear plan of where I'm going and how I'm going to get
there and I'm ready to grab the crown of 'Edinburgh's premium dog walking
business'.

Thank you Dom, yet again
you're my hero!

I have been in business for seven years and I thought old dogs can’t learn new tricks. But despite having many years’ experience, I have found I can still learn more about marketing my pet business, which is needed, especially in today’s competitive dog walking market. What attracted me first to this book was that Dom talks about premium pricing; so many new businesses undercut then fail, and I liked that this book was focusing on premium pricing in one of the chapters. In this book, it states, business is business the world over and people always buy things they want; you just need to make sure your business is the one they want to buy from. This book can help you be the one the clients choose.

Dom explains why pricing matters and how higher prices mean less work, as fewer clients to deal with.  I trust him as from my experience he is so right; so many dog walkers are making the mistake of going way too cheap and discounting so was encouraging to see him talk about premium pricing for a profitable business.

If you are wondering how to get new clients to pick you, this book can give you ideas to make them pick your company. Dom talks about going niche and this helped me decide on something I have been thinking about, how to make my business different; I am going to specialise in small dogs. Size now matters in my new business marketing. He gives other ideas such as specialising in one type of dog, and this would work well if you loved Labs or, say, cocker spaniels. A great idea to attract a breed of dog client to your dog walking business, so many great ideas for niching your business.

Week in, week out, more and more dog walking companies are opening up everywhere, so you really need to make your business more unique to stand out from the crowd, and this book is great for giving you different ideas.

This book has lots of personality in it, and it had me hooked and wanting to learn more from the start. I started reading it at bed-time and before I knew it was 1 am as I wanted to finish the book. It’s a long time since I read a whole book in one sitting. I didn’t want to go to sleep, feeling I would miss something. This is a great book for giving you the key marketing foundations you need. I will be purchasing more products from Dom and will be joining his inner circle to learn more. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.

I’ve known Dom for a while now and we have chatted a lot about business and he has helped me out with my business. He also introduced me to Alex which created me a new, fun, exciting and profitable side to my business. Dom’s a bit like marmite though you either love or hate him. I think he’s great but I fucking hate marmite! My dogs also like him so that says a lot. To be honest even if you don’t like him, I’d still recommend you go on his Pet Business talk, he has a lot of knowledge and experience to share.

Business is his thing and he loves it, you can see that when you hear him speak. If you are feeling lost or struggling Dom will help you. His talk is great and gives you lots of motivation and ideas to get you started, but the key is to take action and he’ll tell you about that too. The dog training, dog walking, dog day care market is saturated at the moment and if you don’t step up your game you won’t survive. Dom can and will help you be the best!

I’ve just
started my business and money is tight, but I joined the Inner Circle about a
month after I started my business. I’ve always had rubbish jobs with rubbish
money, so I think it’s hard to convert yourself to a ‘premium mindset’. But if
you want to turn your business around then it’s not worth it not to come to an
event. You just won’t do it on your own.
